May 1st Commendation Ceremony Image Building: Enhancing Aesthetic Appeal in the Public Sector

Since 2020, we have been dedicated to creating a visual identity for the Ministry of Labor’s ceremonies that is distinct from the past. Our efforts have consistently earned client recognition and praise, enabling us to craft innovative, enriching, and aesthetically pleasing events for the ministry over several consecutive years. We tailor a unique image to honor the exemplary workers celebrated on May 1st.

2020 Workers’ Strength, Achievements Stand Tall

It is through the effort, strength, and intelligence of workers that countless significant contributions have been made to society. Leveraging the intricacies of Chinese character composition, this theme conveys admiration and respect for the hard work and dedication of workers across the nation.

The main visual design aligns closely with this event’s slogan, “Workers’ Strength, Achievements Stand Tall,” featuring bold calligraphic strokes with powerful brushwork to symbolize the strength of workers and the remarkable accomplishments they have achieved.

A marble-textured teal serves as the background, exuding a sense of elegance and sophistication. The color of the number ’51’ incorporates a hint of golden light, symbolizing hope and the spotlight shining on workers. Delicate lines within the ’51’ resemble the growth rings of a tree, representing the accumulation of years of effort and countless achievements by workers, growing stronger and more impactful over time.

2021 Forged Through Hard Work, Creating Infinite Possibilities

The term “forged” refers to the process of refining and removing impurities, making metal more pure—just like exemplary workers who continuously refine their expertise, accumulating experience bit by bit. Through their diligence and perseverance, they not only realize their self-worth but also enhance the productivity and quality of various industries.

This year’s main visual design features bold calligraphic strokes, with each brushstroke exuding strength and vitality, symbolizing the grandeur, resilience, and determination of model workers who dedicate their efforts to their professional fields.

Building on last year’s visual standard, the logo combination featuring the Chinese characters for “功勞” (achievement and labor) remains a key element, aiming to establish a lasting brand identity for the event. The characters highlight the wordplay in Chinese: the effort (“力”) and labor (“工”) of workers contribute to countless achievements (“功”). This creative interplay celebrates the hard work and dedication of workers nationwide, expressing respect and admiration for their contributions.

The spirit of the 56 exemplary workers honored this year embodies the persistence and determination that have refined Taiwan’s competitiveness, supported the nation’s economy, and shaped Taiwan’s boundless potential for future development.

2021 Be the Light –

Illuminating the Past and Guiding the Future, Lighting Up Taiwan

This year’s National Model Workers are the highlights of the stage, and the slogan aims to emphasize their remarkable achievements. They not only honor the efforts of those who came before but also benefit future generations. Model workers pass on their skills to the next generation and serve as exemplary role models.

Like beams of light, the model workers are essential to their respective fields. Their dedication has created well-being for many, driven Taiwan’s economic miracles, and secured Taiwan’s position on the global stage.

Inspired by the slogan “Be the Light,” the main visual design is based on the concept of radiating light. Rays emanating from the center symbolize brilliance, as light brings color to our world, making life more vibrant and dynamic.

The use of noble gold and silver hues represents the distinguished model workers, while youthful tones of blue, yellow, and pink reflect the energy of young participants in vocational competitions. The gradient transitions between these colors symbolize intergenerational exchange and the passing of skills, fostering limitless career possibilities and contributing to society’s prosperity.

The overlapping gradients create a lively, festive atmosphere, encouraging every professional shining on their stage to connect, celebrate, and enjoy this awards ceremony to the fullest.

Continuing the visual format of 2021, the logo incorporates the core design from 2020 featuring the Chinese characters for “功勞” (achievement and labor). This helps establish a cohesive brand image for the National Model Workers Award, ensuring its recognition and prestige.

2023 Make Taiwan Better Together

Through continuous honing of skills, relentless hard work, steadfast persistence, and the courage to overcome challenges, the indomitable spirit of the National Model Workers has laid the foundation for building a better future.

The design employs rays of light converging from various lengths, symbolizing the unity of “working together as one.” The blending of orange-yellow and teal gradients reflects the richness of Taiwan’s industries and the vibrancy of its diverse society.

Brilliant fireworks bursting in the background symbolize each model worker shining brightly in their roles, inspiring the next generation to pursue their goals and collectively create infinite possibilities for Taiwan’s future.

Building on the visual theme from 2022, the logo integrates the iconic “功勞” (achievement and labor) design from 2020 as a central element, reinforcing the brand identity of the National Model Workers Award.

Through overlapping gradients of diverse colors, the design creates a lively and celebratory atmosphere, encouraging professionals from all fields to shine on their respective stages, connect with one another, and enjoy the awards ceremony to the fullest.

By continuing this consistent visual style, the brand identity of the National Model Workers Award is strengthened, celebrating their invaluable contributions to society.

2024 Light Up the Future

The outstanding performance of every National Model Worker and Migrant Worker is an essential element of the nation’s development.
“The Light of Labor” not only represents personal achievement but also symbolizes hope and progress. The brilliance of individuals contributes significantly to Taiwan’s economic prosperity and growth.

The design features upward-facing hand outlines in warm orange-yellow tones, embodying the image of laborers as warm, reliable, and supportive.
The layered hands form wave-like patterns, signifying the resilience of model workers and migrant workers as they courageously face the waves of challenges ahead.

Under cascading light, each model worker and migrant worker will continue to shine brightly, illuminating the future of Taiwan.
